Dream Along With Me

Goal setting for a year beyond your wildest dreams!

By Coach Joelle Prochera, Certified Professional Life Coach and fellow launcher!  To hear more from Coach Joelle check out the Livloud! Newsletter or read coach joelle’s blog.

Hello Launchers!!

With a new year comes a fresh start, the promise of new beginnings, and the perfect time for dreaming.

What is a dream but a thought about what could be.  If you look around, what do you see? A building, coffee mug, piece of furniture, the city you live; they all started as someone’s dream.

  • Your favorite song started as someone’s dream.
  • The airplane started as someone’s dream.
  • Even Ladies who Launch started as a dream.

You each have dreams for your life, your family, your business. Dreams of the person you can be and the difference you can make.  Contrary to what some say, dreaming is not just idle fantasy.  Dreaming is the beginning of all things. With clear intention and specific action, your dreams can come true.

So ladies, as you launch this fresh new year….are you ready to dream?

Then here we go!

Step 1 Clear the way.

Before you can get clear on what the year will bring, you may need to first clear some clutter out of the way.  I am not talking about cleaning out your closets or organizing the garage (although those are great ideas as well). What I am suggesting is that you first clear your head.

After speaking with thousands of people as a professional life coach, I can say with confidence that the #1 thing standing between you and your dreams is your own thinking about what you can’t do and why you cannot do it.  It’s time to clear the way for your dreams.

Action:  Let go of…

• what you think you cannot have.
• what you think you could never accomplish.
• what others have told you, you could never be.

In fact…for right now, let it all go.  Yes EVERYTHING!

(Ahhhh, see, it gets nice and quiet when you clear out all that mental chatter.)

Now you have that great big space to create in, let’s fill it up with your dreams

Step 2 Ready. Set. Dream!

Whatever you are moved and inspired to create in your life, those desires are there for a reason. Following your dreams is the path to joy and fulfillment.  So let’s get dreaming!

Action:  Answer the following questions in detail:

• If anything were possible for you and your life ….what would you want?
• Who would you have around you?
• What would you see out your window?
• What would you create with your business?
• How would you spend your days?

Write it all down and fill in every detail.  Keep working it until you can read what you wrote and it puts a great big smile on your face.

Once you have created this masterpiece, give it the place of honor it deserves.  Put it somewhere that will demand your attention.  Put it on your bathroom mirror, the door to your office, on the front of your “personal development” binder.  Not a day should go by when you are not reminded of what you have chosen to create.

Need a little inspiration? For examples of other visions visit    www.coachjoelle.com/dreambuilder.html .

Step 3 The path to your dreams is paved with action:

Action is the key to taking your dreams out of the clouds and rooting them firmly in reality.  Your actions do not have to be grandiose, scary or painful they just need to move you forward.  In fact, the most effective actions are usually the ones that follow your interests, come naturally or feel fun to you.

Action:   Write down 3-5 things can you do this week to make your visions reality, put them in your calendar and do them!

• Schedule 30 minutes every Monday to review your vision, celebrate the week’s accomplishments and set 3-5 new actions.
• For the courageous: Call 1 person who you trust, who believes in your dreams and supports your success and tell them what you will be doing this week. I am not kidding. Go ahead, make the call now.

Make Your Dreams Reality

As you head out into this brave New Year, know that you were never given a dream without the ability to fulfill it.  In the months ahead, keep your vision close.  Keep taking action and surround yourself with people that support you and believe in your dreams.  Enjoy the ride ladies, it’s going to be one heck of a year!

To a brilliant new year!

Make New Year Resolutions for Your Business

Happy 2008! A new year has just kicked off and it is time to get excited! Before you go back to business as usual, take a moment to make some business resolutions. I know people often make personal resolutions for the new year, but not many do the same for their business/career. Creating business resolutions may improve work/life balance. These resolutions can be business goals, but they can also be small changes in your daily operations that can slowly grow into a business evolution or even a success revolution. Once you're done, then broadcast your resolutions. Post the resolutions on the office bulletin board, email to all your people, be the on the screen saver of your computer or post on your business website or blog. This will encourage you to keep the resolutions.

Here are a few suggestions:

1.  Clearly communicate and daily prioritize tasks and responsibilities to colleagues. Make a shared to-do list.

2. Discontinue weekly office meetings. If you do #1 well, then 2 is just an email.

3.  Don't work on the weekends. (Work smart, not hard)

4. Delegate more to the passionate.  You will be surprised at the energy and achievement of an intern.

5. Develop new business contacts by NOT networking. Skip the expensive conference this year. See-saw [I hate the word "leverage"] off of friends, family and even your dry cleaner by letting them know about your business.

Some of my suggestions make not fit for all businesses but I hope you will be inspired to create ones that fit your business and lifestyle. Make it fun!

How to Unleash your Inner Sexpot

Usb_poledancer Would you like to unleash your inner Sexpot?
Pole dancing is the latest trend in workouts it is true. It is Audacious. It is bold.

And fun.

It makes me feel juicy, bodacious and empowered. It trims my waistline and causes me to think differently about who I am being in the world. All that from 2 hours in a very intense and pleasurable workout?

Yes.

So consider this.
If all matter is energy and the Law of Attraction says that like
energy attracts like energy, then imagine the kind of gorgeous
energy you can create by giving the pole a whirl?

There is much to be said for my pole dancing classes and I have
noticed a change in how I approach everything in my life.

As Sheila Kelly, the founder of SFactor has said, "Soak in the
pure, unadulterated flow of your life. Breathe it in and exhale
everything in your mind until your entire being is just bliss. Let
your body float with soft, languid moves that are simply organic to
your being. When you step outside into your day you will notice
something has shifted."

I think I am (finally!) becoming the exquisite creature I was meant to be.
When you uncover your inner sexpot you also uncover your creative
center, which helps you to think of great new ideas for your
business and gives you the lift-off to actually complete what you
start!

Imagine that?

One of my coaches, Andrea J. Lee of Vancouver, British Columbia often speaks about doing activities that open you to your most sensual and creative self. For me it comes from movement and there is nothing like gathering the courage to dance with a pole...and do it gracefully. And also not be afraid to flop on the floor and try again.

If you are looking for a way to shape up your body, mind and spirit
then the Sfactor may just be the thing for you. They have intro
classes and studios are opening all over the place.

Even Oprah loves it.
You will too.
It's Pure Audacious power.

Go on check it out. You know you want to.

New Year's Revolution: Judith George

Judith George is a member of the New York Incubator and the owner of Reel Invitations.

I was immediately intimidated with the question, “What’s your revolution?” Now, I know that’s not a  very Ladies Who Launch thing to say. But I was.  Stating my revolution is no small thing.  I hadn’t been so hot at New Year’s resolutions  so how could I possibly have a revolution?  And if I did - would it be good enough? Or big enough or would it happen fast enough that
it would even qualify as a revolution?

It’s much too easy for me to get caught up in the feeling that things aren’t happening fast enough for me,since I’m a recovering member of the “I should be further alongat this point in my life” school.   At the beginning of20 07 I thought I thought instead of talking about all the things I needed to do but didn’t have time to do. Now, Itake another approach.  Every day I would give myself one task to do that would help towards growing my business.  It could be an email, phone -  anything  - just as long as I’m crossing something off my list.

This might not seem like a revolution but it’s my quiet revolution.  I’ve been working with my web designer Katie-James  to get my new website Reel Invitations up and running. I’m stringing the small steps together.  I like to think of how actors are often portrayed to be “overnight success” when I know better.  That’s just what the media would like us to think.  Most likely, that actor has been taking it one day and one audition at a time.  Preparing for their time.  Any hopefully my quiet revolution is doing just that for me.

Revolution: Two Months Notice

, by FashionMista

Hi.
The revolution for this year was quitting my day job. It actually happened just before the holidays, as I wanted to enter the new year with a clean mind to fill with new dreams. This is something I've been thinking about for over a year and asking anyone who will answer how they did it.

That new place in my mind has been bombarded with exciting new ventures, but I would not have done it without the motivating push from the electrifying confidence gained from my incubator. All of my ladies: ReelInvitations.com, The Evelynne Grace Group, The Matchstick Group, RedBranchPR.com , MyPerfectPenmanship.com, Acupuncture Remedies, Jillian at Inform Fitness, Karla, Beth, and everyone else that does not have a website yet.

Normally I don't tease-post - the kind where writers give the first few lines of the post and then want you to click away. But I'm doing it tonight, only because my writeup on my blog became kind of a long, quiet piece on finally giving notice at a job where I work with good and inspiring people and have learned so much. So if you want to read it, here's the teaser, and you can click to get it in full.

Title: Flowers for the Day Job

I bought myself flowers today. Roses. White ones. I know that Valentine's Day is getting closer, and I should wait to see if the man buys me flowers, but it's only February 2nd, and I needed to stop and buy myself, and my new office, some flowers. Because I gave notice at my job. Two months of notice, but notice nonetheless. Since then, I've been completely bombarded by my to-do list, and it is taking over my life. So I bought roses just because they are beautiful and I can stop and stare at how the petals curl and pucker around each other. If you didn't know, I work for a very respected nonprofit that helps women and health professionals make informed maternity care decisions. I manage their website. And various other things that come with being one of six people working for a national organization, such as configure emails, manage databases, insist on systems to track publication inventory.

Before the holiday, I finally spoke a decision that I had made long ago, but became too complacent to make. Normally when I make a life altering decision, it is a defensive decision, like the next move after a fiance decides he's not ready to be married.

Her coaching practice is Change Journey Coaching.  She is also the founder of Ayako Arts, a small art studio specializing in unique handcrafted gifts for everyday intention and inspiration.

I love the idea of thinking big. Not just new year’s resolutions but rather REVOLUTIONS. It’s right in line with my theme for 2007. This is my year of putting myself out there, being BIG and being seen. (Sharing on the blog is part of that!) It means taking risks, trying new things and constantly learning.  It’s about embracing what I’m calling the new feminine. Stepping fully and proudly into the power of emotion, intuition, empathy, creativity and connection. And it’s harnessing the law of attraction – being clear about what I want, sharing it with the universe, honoring what is already present and being open to how my hopes and dreams manifest. These are all things I’m bringing into my work around coaching and creativity and into my own personal life this year.To keep myself balanced, I am practicing self-care. I meditate daily, practice yoga at least 5 times a week (even if it’s a few poses!) and have one day a week where I do something creative just for myself.  Just last week I painted a map of my land of creativity and fulfillment that will guide me on my journey this year and I've posted on  my blog. Again, it's about putting myself out there!

And even in writing this posting, I’m noticing that I’m already practicing the power of positive intention. By writing in the present tense “I am” rather than “I will” or “I plan

to,” I’m claiming these goals now and am taking action.   I love how revolutions can happen with simple, subtle shifts in perspective!
