I have three projects that flow naturally from my passion for conflict resolution. As a “born mediator,” I have cultivated this passion since childhood, learning to listen with my Third EarTM. In my law practice, I resolve conflict at all stages: before, during and after it occurs. With THEBOATM, I resolve conflicts between women and their physical limitations. In my GrayfitiTM newsletter, I give tips for resolving conflict in all areas of our lives. My goal is to transform the way that we view conflict. If we begin to embrace it as an inevitable fact of life and resolve it skillfully, it will be less frightening, and we will be able to accomplish far more than we do when we react in fear. (Fear is eliminated by skill.)
I can’t imagine a life that speaks more concisely about who I am and how I want to be I the world. These opportunities to feed my passion and give something back to the world are so important to the success of my businesses. Certainly, there are successful people who are not working within their passions. Their passions may be elsewhere, as in their homes and children, and their financial or business success allows them to succeed in other areas. But for me, it is different. I can succeed in nothing more than being me. I am my law practice. I am THEBOA. They are extensions of the real me who wants to be fully self-expressed. I trust this will translate into success “across the board,” and so far I have not been disappointed.
