I launched my very first business at 29 so I could do something that allowed me to work from home when I had kids. Boy did I plan way ahead! That business (a website development company) was 7 years old when I got married and I sold it before I had my son (he’s only 3 weeks old now) at 38. I always knew that I wanted to work, but I also wanted the flexibility to stay at home with my kids, because my Mother as a single Mom had not been able to – so launching is what I have chosen to do. I launched my new business LetsMeetOut.com, a group dating and real life social networking website) while pregnant with Mac and was able to jump right back in right after he was born since my office is just a few steps away from his nursery. I am juggling things a bit more these days – answering email in between feedings, but so far, I am able to have the best of both worlds.
